Things have been busy in the studio lately. Lots of organizing and sorting and oh my, the projects! I have more projects in my head than I know what to do with...I had to make a list, just so I wouldn't forget. Leather, encaustic, drift wood, fabric, beads, and collage just to name a few.
We went to NYC and I'll have to admit it. I got over stimulated! Yep, WAY too much to look at and experience and eat and see. I love that city! We ended up at the Armory Show on day one. WOW! What a place chock full of eye candy. It was a wonderful way to get that gallery feeling without actually going to individual galleries! Definitely a treat. We did that for about 4 or 5 hours and I was good. I took lots of photos of inspirational pieces and some crazy stuff too.
Here are some of my favorites:
Mid April, I went down to Wilmington to Zach's place. We worked on the 3rd bedroom (photo below) and bathroom.
Got them all nicely painted, and also added a new stove - way overdue - for the kitchen. Next projects will be on the outside...We took a break and went for a walk down by the Cape Fear River. Such a beautiful and warm, sunny day. Unfortunately, I had left my phone back at the house, so no photos. But, oh my! Very, very peaceful and lovely down there. I did manage to get an armload and Zach did too (for me) of driftwood! Oh, just another new project. You'll have to wait and see!
Lastly, Joe had a great workshop down in Sanford with the Sanford Brush and Palette Gals. Fun, fun, fun is all I can say about that! Wow, the participants all had some fun and really turned out some fantastic work!
Oh, this all took place in Lisa Mathis' studio. Another WOW! Fourth story of a building downtown Sanford, wood floors, LOTS of windows! Um NYC??? Way too cool!
Hopefully I can get a Collage Workshop Gig again with the Sanford Brush and Palette Club and hold it there! Please?
One more thing...I wanted to post some more of my Mini Collages for a little scrap inspiration for you! Take care. Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit!
