Feeling GREAT!

Hello Friends!
I hope this post finds you all doing well and enjoying this crazy weather.
Wait, 63 degrees yesterday and possible snow any moment today?
What?
I'm just trying to stay healthy and keep up with the layering.
Layers on, layers off.
Wax on, wax off.
Speaking of wax...oh my!
My addiction is flowing strong.
I did an encaustic demo/workshop with all the kids at Wakefield High School earlier this month. Thank you all for helping me out at Art of the Carolinas! This was my small way of thanking them for all their hard work! Thank you!
I have been working on some encaustic projects in my studio and also taught a class at Jerry's on Saturday. Forgot to take photos, but thanks ladies! That was SO much fun! We'll have to get together again soon.

Here is a close up of a challenge piece I submitted to The Seam Shoppe for their current challenge: "The Elements". My piece is entitled "Journey Within" and is on display now in Key West. I'll have overall photos at the end...

Our workshops at the store are now in full swing! Here are some photos of Diana Coidan's Pastel Class:

One of my new projects is making hand lotion...today I also made some lip balm.
I found that this lotion works very well as a barrier cream for artists! Great for cracked lips, elbows, dry skin. You name it! Let me know if you want to try some. It's pretty awesome. Right now I have Jasmine lotion and plain lip balm available.

Here are some photos from Joe's weekend workshop at Jerry's:

Saturday the 11th we went to Matt & Bridget's Engagement Party. Lots of laughs, great food, great company and Warren singing! God bless us everyone...
Here's a great photo of Matt & Bridget:
Congratulations you two!

Speaking of love: Happy Valentines Day!
Here's an artsy shot of my roses I got from my Valentine, JOE!

More workshops at the store:

Michelle Davis Petelinz teaching Marbling Techniques

Some of the fabulous papers!

Lou Ann Overman teaching watercolor techniques with SoHo Watercolors, Turner Watercolors and FW Inks:

And last, but not least, here are some photots that Cindy sent me from the Seam Shoppe. Joe and I are very proud to be a part of their new gallery and art section in the store! Thank you Cindy for giving us the opportunity! Can't wait to see it in person:
Way to go girl! See you soon.
Well, that's about all of my shenanigans for the past couple of weeks or so, that I'm admitting to anyway. Love you all and keep that creativity going! It's so very good for the soul...

Thank you for all the great birthday wishes!

Thank you to my Mom for actually agreeing to having a fourth child. What were you thinking?

And to my Dad – what were YOU thinking?

Thank you to all my virtual friends out there for supporting me in my dreams not only on my birthday, but throughout the year. It’s nice to know we all have a cheering section that will root us on through the tough times and celebrate with us during the great times.

Thank you for the Facebook wishes, the e-cards, the physical cards, the calls and the songs. Katie: the brownies were KILLER! Dinner at The Place was fantastic as ever! And thank you Cindy for sending a package out late...I love dragging this out just a tiny bit more!

I truly appreciate them all!

It’s not easy getting older.

You have to put up with a few more creeks, a little less memory, a lot more “huh’s?” and “what I thought you said, was…” but all in all I’m very happy (as Joe says) to “be on this side of the dirt!”

Thank you all for adding something to my life: inspiration, knowledge, encouragement, a sounding board, a shove in the right direction. I guess we’re all in this together, so let’s have some fun! Thank you for making it fun for me…
Cheers!
